Prof. S. L. Saini Ph.D. in Mathematics the founder president of the Society started tree plantation campan in the year 1991 in Yamunanagar. Later with the public co-operation formed Yamuna Nagar Environmental Society (YES) at district. level and then Haryana Environmental Society (HES) at state level with the aim of Green and Clean Haryana.

Success at Yamuna Nagar inspired Dr. Saini to spread his activities to other cities of Haryana, and hence the Haryana Environmental Society(HES), Yamuna Nagar.

Head Quarter of HES is at Yamuna Nagar district at Haryana.

Tree plant then field work being carried in four district Haryana stroke namely Yamuna Nagar , kurukshetra, Ambala and Panchkula.

Through HES mohalla comaitties, making the people aware about the efforts on the health by the usage of organic eatables by arranging a few of them for their daily use on no profit no loss basis.

About 230,000 ( Two lacks thirty thousands only ) plants have been planted and mustered during lost 31 years period.

HES has distributed free of cost another lot of 35,000 saplings of more than 65 species of flowery, shady and medicinal tress from our nursery.

The whole project is being run merely with the public protestation and corporation.

More than 15000 people life in the form of dedicated volunteers / filed workers/donors from all works of life including of the Haryana state are associated with the society's field activities.

The society has got its own infrastructure like green ambulance tractors, trolleys, water tankers, steal tree guard workshop , plant nursery, a team of mails and other implements field work related.

Over 90% of the common land available common land within the twin town of Yamuna nagar , jagadhri , being HES head quarters, have been provided with a green cover with the public contribution and corporation under social forestry, we have provided green cover to 90% are of the tricity town of Yamuna nagar, jagadhri workshop having population 50,0000 and spread over on area of about 120 sq kms.

Cleanliness drive is also carried out doing with greening campaign.

Associated the district administration to make the public avair during the implementation of government of India's Yamuna action plan and the Rajiv Gandhi water mission project for rural area.

Through HES mohala committees, making the people avair about the positive effects.

On the health by usage of organic eatables by arranging a few of them for their daily use on profit no loss bases.

Organized seminars, environment awareness camps rallies quiz competitions, parbhat feri (Down process in ) paeyavaaean rath ( environment chariot ),tree plantation meals (fairs ) street cheaters cleanliness drivers, etc. developed a herbal garden in the memory of martyrs at Yamuna nagar.
